What CRM does a CRM Fairy use?

Well, my friend. That’s a complicated question. Mainly because, I’ve used them all.

Okay, not all of them of course, but many. So. Many. They have either been for research, for clients, or trying to find the system that fits my business and my ADHD brain.

It hasn’t all been pretty, and sometimes it felt like re-creating my website another time, on another platform, was my new hobby. My husband even questioned me at one point, noticing my frustration over another app-driven “all in one” system that wanted me to download something new, for an obvious piece on a digital-first business. He asked why am I always re-building. I told him it was because the last platform I used wasn’t good enough.

I have used High Level (or Go High Level or GHL or whatever else they call themselves) and honestly, I would have stuck with it, if I needed all of the things they offered. For me, it was too much to look at, and although there were ways to customize it, it was never clean enough. The price point isn’t terrible for all they offer, but I felt like I wasn’t utilizing all the things to justify that monthly expense.

I’ve also used Zoho…claiming to be an all-in-one platform at a cheaper price than GHL. But boy, oh boy, was that frustrating as hell. Did you know you need to download different apps to get paid? One for recurring payments, one for one off payments, and another one still for an online store. And none of these are within “Zoho Payments.” That’s just the app you have to set up to get all the other apps to work. Awful.

I emailed them so many times, saying this is what I do in my business, tell me the apps I need. They wanted to hop on a call, and ain’t nobody got time for that.

So now, in 2026, trying to streamline it all, I use Square Space to host my website and Get Response for email marketing. I will likely be moving it all to Get Response once my Square Space year is up (silly me for paying in advance) because, and my fingers are crossed for this one, Get Response might be the all in one platform of my dreams.

Square Space has email services, but you need to pay extra in order to use them, and to me, that’s bullshit. If you want more than one email automation (which is what online businesses who email a list thrive on)? Another payment. It is just really off putting.

Get Response has been annoying with how many things I have to click to make them work in the way I want them to, but once they are set up, they are golden. There is just a lot of testing before I trust anything.

Anywho, if you found this helpful, if you want to share a frustration, or if you have any questions about CRM systems, leave a comment. I’m an open book.
